    Nothing a MIG can't fix

Lesson 2, whenever you pull the bellhousing of a ZF, don't knock the front housing and pump off, it takes another 1.5hrs to line it up and refit it, try lining 2 sets of clutches up and a splined section, I was about to throw my first violent wobbly in near 6 years after that

Productive day? well, I'm where I'd of liked to have been yesterday
Did you try the wet toilet paper, much denser than grease, has always worked for me, even when slide hammers failed, Regards Frank.

We have had that problem here, with about the same amount of time invested in refitting it!

Sorry Frank I didn't see your post before hand, will keep it mind, although grease has always worked for me, The reason it didn't work though, is it only acting on a 3mm surface inside there, trying to push out near 2"s of contact area

Just to clarify, driveline wise you've got landcruiser centres, hilux cvs and the rest is std rover gear or have you got Maxi axles etc. Rover hubs? Is the 350 a ULP motor? EFI or carbs?
Hilux centres and CV's, 3 Jacmac axles, and one short side 60 series

350 Has got an impco 425 mixer at the moment, but will get a quadrajet and probably 225 mixer, it will be gas mainly

What happened today? well a jag with a 1UZ-FE got dropped off and I have to wire it so sticky nosed at that for a bit

Then I decided I didn't want to fit the Chev, till a mate bores some holes through the flywheel, for access to the torque convertor bolts, will make for easier removal/refit..........not that it'll be needed, so its pulling looms apart till tomorrow arvo then off to bore some holes, see if there is any updates before I go back to work Sunday morning
