    QUOTE DELETED

Matt, i agree, your not responcable for the Engineer's report, But as your doing the work, your responcible for the quality of the work. If you do it right then its not a problem, but if its done wrong then there could be a reflection on you if someting went wrong.
All i was pointing out was that there is a moral obligation for him to have an engineers cert done on the job.

I'm not whining, i'm pointing out the obvious.
I've been watching this thread as i find it interesting, but you also said that your not going into detail as there was no one interested (7th March post)

No quarms with my quality of work, like a said, I wont go into extreme case of legality as it isn't quite so clean cut, I'm well aware of the risks and the repecussions involved

I've been doing engine conversions since I built my first car at 16-17

If your interested, ask questions, just not about legality

Folks, this thread seems to be of some genuine interest so I won’t delete all of it but I’ll keep an eye on it.

If the bad language returns then I’ll take stronger action.

    KEEP A SOCK IN IT.

I will keep a sock in it, but why was the quote deleted???
This is becoming a joke when the mods can change what they feel is fit.
I dont believe there was a problem at all.
Matt expressed his opinion. I expressed mine. it was all ok... and Still is ok.

So end of the day, i asked a question, Matt responded, and all is good.

I feel the mention of loose shunts in the shunting yard upset Timmy's dinner.

You know being a QLDer and all that.

Hi sclarke, the quote had unacceptable language in it but to simplify things, in future, I will just remove the whole post.

    Cheers.

I have also been following this with interest (just had nothing usefull to contribute), so don't marry lack of response with lack of interest Matt. And would appreciate it remaining largely intact, perhaps the offending 2 words could have just been asterixed, it's a little dis-jointed now.

Sorry, i missed that part.... the language thing... it could have just had ** placed there instead... then the thread would have made sence.....

Well yesterday, got the exhaust done....temporarily, very temp, so no pics

All seems well, just the fan wants moving back a little and its gutless

Got a scabby old Quadrajet and stuck the original 200impco of the side, the carb has holes everywhere and sticky butterflys

Got a recoed then pulled of for a holley, quady coming to work tomorrow for 100 beer tickets, then I can get some timing in it without raising the idle to much (because bytteflys wont clos) and set it up to run fuel before we head bush this weekend,

troubles? well it wouldn't start without leaking vac, stop the leak and no go?? well it konked out pulling up with the 3.9 on gas, so just switched to fuel then yanked so didn't think into it, pulled the mixer apart and the little regulating bit on the diaphragm had dropped off, stick it back together and all is well, everything except the tach is all good and no shakes/rattles/knocks, and thank god the auto works fine after dropping the pump off

So carby and low pressure pump in, tomorrow night after work, then I'll tune it wednesday before night shift and we're done
