    Yep back together and running just need to spool the cable on

    Sorry no measurements with the change in end caps as the 6hp motor runs a ball
    bearing pressed on to the shaft and the which i thought was a 4.6hp motor which turned out to be a 2.5hp motor runs a bush in the end cap

    I did,nt have the right tools at home to be pressing and removing bearings to be able to get those pics and measurements for you slunnie (sorry)

    No probs at all, thanks for looking though.

    Is the big heat sink on the end of it part of the motor end, or is that part removable?

    Removable just replace it with your existing cover , thats all i did and i replaced it with the one off my 2.5hp motor

    Exellent, thanks for this!. It looks like I can flip the winch and poke the motor through the bullbar mount, but I didnt think the heatsink would fit through. Sounds like a strip and rebuild job for next hols! I'll have to study your guide before doing it though as it'll be a learning experience.

    Its not that hard once you see whats invovled ,The only tricky part is the brake (my fault) but ill go in to that in more detail latter
