Drive shafts bolt pattern was machined wrong so that is a huge stumbling block at the moment. I got some pipe mandrel bent in Adelaide yesterday so hope to get the majority of my bull bar finished over XMAS break. Will post back in the new year. On that note, Merry XMAS to evryone.

awesome!!
You think a defender has real estate problems?
If a duramax can fit in this then it should fit in the disco eh?
He did a nice job on that Buick. It would be a nice cruiser or street sleeper.Quote:

I think a disco or rangie classic you could make it work, But the drive line length is an issue with an allison. Engine and gear box is LONGGGGGGG. No worries with a 130. I'll have to get the tape measure out one day.

Yeah I thought the Buick was cool, good to see someone thinking outside the hot rod box.
Let us know when you do the measure up, I'm sure there are a few interested on wether it's do-able on the 100" chassis.
Cheers.
Folks,
Time for an update. I've been plugging away at the build for a while just no updates! I've finished the bull bar and this weekend completed the side steps / rails. I ended up getting the side rails bent up to my CADdrawing and then inserting them into a 50X75 RHS. Quite time consuming once i made all the mounting brackets and so forth. The bull bar was a major battle but finished that today also when i mated them to the side rails. I'll remove them in the next few days and then get them to the powder coaters when i get the chance.

Next update. Ive started back on the exhaust. I could not fit in the flexible joint so used flex stainless adjacent to the auto trans. I am using 4 inch stainless pipe. I am using 90 degree bends and doughnuts to get the required angles. Most performance exhausts for these motors in the US run a 5 inch pipe but they wont fit under a rover. I am going to run two pipes out the back just behind the rear wheels. The pipe sections are flanged so i can remove sections easily compared to slip style joints.
