Still a long way to go.
Erich
might need a wheel alignment too looking at that pic.
Andrew and I have got through a lot of jobs in the past 2 days - the car goes into the RTA on Tuesday for a full check over so we are reassembling ie back to sort of purchase position.
Jobs done:
Replace roof, rear cab section, screen surround, fit screen into newly painted surround,
Complete front end, new bonnet pull, tidy radiatod hose, new bonnet holding latch, install lights, blinkers etc .....
Replace drivers side guard wing
Remove new tray and replace with original ( not enough time to complete tray for RTA inspection
Replace under door trims - not enough time to complete rock sliders as these have to be trimmed at the front end for the extended guards
Fit new front seat belts (old ones a little frayed and the RTA can be a bit picky about this)
Repairs to Drivers seat - make it look good - to be replaced shortly
Fit new rear shocks - old rubbers a bit perished
Replace door seals
Fasten rear seats securely
Rebuild 2 front doors after having been fully stripped for painting (a cow of a job rebuilding these)
etc,etc,etc
ALMOST ready for Tuesday's inspection.
Tomorrow a mate is coming over and we will be required to drink lots of beer!
and a lot of other fiddly bits

Still to be done
Complete drivers door
new drop arm bush
roof liner, sun visors, inside mirror
new wiper blades
swap wheels . tyres with a matching set.
Erich
Erich, Andrew and assoc,
You guys have done a terrific job!:)
Just one worry I have, will there be enough clearance between the rear tyres and the tray sides when loaded etc?
JC
Hi Justin,
You are right, those tyres will not be going with that tray. I will be putting back some standard wheels and tyres tomorrow for the RTA (Road and Traffic Authority) checks next week.
We have built a new tray but have to complete some welding underneath as well as some new brackets etc, etc.
After which - new springs will be installed but our suspension supplier requires 3 load ratings - front wheel, rear wheel and total before calculating the correct springs for the set-up.
Erich
Ahh, yes of course I remember the tray Andrew was welding up, sorry hadn't put 2 and 2 together:D
Love a good 130:)
Keep at it!

We are basically giving the car 3 rebuilds in 1.
Rebuild 1 - patch up damage to enable blueslip (completed)
Rebuild 2 - repair damage and paint, so the car passes rta stolen and bodgey repair inspection (tuesday).
Rebuild 3 - extras and get ready for the trip.
The reason we have not finished and fitted the bullbar yet, is it covers the last few digits of the vin # when insalled. When the car is passed on tuesday (hopefully) we will have a buisy job fitting the extras (we leave in 1 month!). new tray (with canvas/cover), custom roof rack (with awning), bullbar/winch, fuel tank, water tank, custom side rails, snorkel, wheels, suspension, sliders, aux batterys, flairs, HID lights, tints, spotlights, reversing camera, reversing lights, ECU flash...........
We are going to be buisy very people. (I also have a real job 40h a week, and travel 45 minutes each way to dads to work on the car every day).
