Got the blue slip or roadworthy certificate today - not much else. All the other work still has to be done.
We will book the car in on Monday for the authenticity check. The lead time on this is usually 3 weeks.
That gives us 3 weeks (of spare time) to strip the car down again, fix the 2 front guards, repair some small dings, prepare all the panels and body, prime, 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear, then re-assemble and re-install screen. Still unsure of the colour - white at this stage is the easiest by far.
Also picked up the rear tail shaft and made enquiries about new springs and shocks.
Andrew is chasing up on wheels and tyres and a sound system.

Wish I was your daughter/sister :(
Well Lou, We are very proud of both our children - their upbringing, their dedication to their schooling & education and the final direction they have decided to take in life.
We can only hope the future continues to bring them success & happiness.
If we can help them along the way - in ANY way - we will. :)
I'm positive all parents would do the same.:D:D:D
White is easiest and coolest but the old bauxite hits it hard after a while - but that is not news to you.
Yours and Derek's Puma are decent colours for up here and so far the Epsom Green on STUUU seems to be holding up OK. Dare I say it - have you asked Sharon & Alfred?
I assume you go for a standard size on wheels due to their location and trye availability at short notice?
[. Dare I say it - have you asked Sharon & Alfred?
We have Dale.... and......
They want RED.........
(Wonder if the number plate "ALL OVER" is available now......from the Defender which was in Gove until last year.)
[QUOTE=dullbird;1079016]yeah but its harder when ours are 14000 miles away:D......
....So how many children do you both have 14000 miles away:D:D:D
ALLOVA - but you can have 7 letters.
That one seemed to cope alright. When dusty it certainly looked less dirty than white.
Like most colours though, if they spend too long in the sun up here then they do fade etc. Having said that, you can certainly put as much effort into its finish as you like which will help.
Personally I would agree with Sharon & Alfred if it was my 130
