(easy way to check is via CALVIN )

Love the old radio too! Nice stuff!
The '57? is not an 80". An 80" will have the front vent in the windscreen frame, not part of the firewall as in the pic.

    80"

From the pics it is an 88"
Sno: should be on panel screwed to firewall just in front of gear stick also may be stamped into top of left hand chassis rail just behind front panel.

Ok, it's an 88" as most have said. I can't find a chassis number but did find a small alloy badge behind the gear stick with a body and serial number. The serial number is 88 8684. I have run this by CALVIN but I'm not getting a complete description.

88 8684 is most likely on a blue plate (see attached pic of mine) - this is the Pressed Metal Corporation (Sydney) assembly plate - your vehicle is the 8684th 88" assembled by PMC in Sydney. This is not a landrover number and is not in Calvin.

See the second pic - the car number is at the top of the plate that is below the PMC plate - this is the number you need to put into Calvin - but it will show you have an 88, RHD, CKD Export.

yes mines has the small blue plate, but the large plate is missing. Someone has removed it to cut a hole to access the head or engine

In that case get your wire brush out and start on the tops of the spring hangers - there will a number there somewhere.
