For fear of sending the thread off topic with tyre conversations here are some pics of my other little landy.

Scallops that is just in awesome condition
Here is my '51 80inch, it's been butchered a fair bit in the past but I am breathing new life into it
When I bought it (check out that flex)
What I'm up to in the resto now, pulled the 186 & gearbox tonight. Work can not begin on stripping & repairing the chassis

Just loving the show case of S1s, keep'em'rolling.

"Len" the 1954 86" was acquired after a couple years of on-and-off searching. The colour is original and it appears that it was a SA vehicle from the old number plates that came with it and from discussions on here.
It has been stripped down to the chassis and is in the process of being rebuilt. I have replaced all of the brake system and most oil seals but that is about it mechanically. Special thanks must go to master_chief on here for my multiple raids to his farm for second hand panels and various other bits.
Some pics of the build are here - Meet "Len"
In Sept 10 we made the move from NSW to WA. After Easo's comment about his S1 following him around the country, I don't feel so bad now about packing it in with our furniture to make the trip across Oz. The car was hastily bolted back together for the trip as per the pics. It is now waiting in the garage of our rental house (trying to protect the concrete from oil leaks!) until I build a new shed on our new block so its restoration can be completed.
Enjoy,
Chris
After fifteen years of ownership it is finally on the road.
Still minus the chrome.
