Somepne has done major mods on this one to add the two master cylinders onto the firewall.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Yeah thats it. Im quite handy with a mig n grinder/ plasma, done up the odd s2/3 chassie when i was 12-17.... theres heaps of spare doors n things, n i might b able to get another 80'' for spares

Well really id like to do em or at least one up
But every bush fire i worry theyll burn, n now ppl r takein parts of me!!
A mate was gunna give me a amount of cash to sell em to his mate, tank god it never went thru tho.
i really need a shed to store em in till i get the time to do em up again, real hard atm due to building my house n work n payim loans n bills dont leave me much for the things id like....
So yeah i dunno, but there not going for scrap!! to good for that, n if i did ever sell em theyd have to go to a s1 80'' person haha

This 80" has a non-fishplate bumper, narrow front springs, the wide transom with "sprung shovel" seatbacks, 5" Butler headlamps behind the grill panel and yellow button freewheel unit transfer box.

If fitted the hoodbows should have the curved top.

Made just before mine (see page one of this thread) so built late 49, sold as a 50 model.

I can tell you that it was shipped to Regent Motors Melbourne, but no customer details.

And that it's official chassis number is R06101566 the "R" not being dropped till later in the year.

    Hi Diana,

There is no R on the plate but the first Zero has a stroke through it. So this is probably the earliest series 1 that I could ever dream to get my hands on. Its terribly tempting even though a bit expensive. All parts are original except tail lights which are trailer items. Its running and registerd.

Just a question regarding the 5 inch lights. Did the early Australian 80s have Butler 5 inch Headlights ?

My early 49er from Solihul was fitted with Lucas lights.

    Cheers Richard
