hey Landy, just used degreaser and a pressure cleaner, there still some spots on there that didn't wash off, I still have to remove the seat box and give that a good clean under it. I've noticed the brake line aren't looking the best so will have to look at replacing them, anyone know what it will cost to remake the brake lines ? I'm going to pull the cab down and have a go at repairing the bulk head, but as you all know it takes time and money. Will try and get some more done over the next few day's will keep you all updated.

Yeah mate I hear ya, I'm looking forward to driving it, can't wait for that day. I still have wiring issues, it looks as if someone has done a bodgy job of it in the past, It really need a completely rewiring, not a big job as you know the wiring system on these old car is pretty basic, I'm thinking about replace all the light with led's as none of them are original anyway.

I got a price off a local brake shop today, the guy quoted about $40 to bend up some new steel lines, a lot cheaper than I thought it might be. I didn't get a lot done on it today, managed to remove the the seat box and just cleaned up the rest of the gearbox, sprayed some rusty nuts and bolts will let that soak in, get the the cab and guards off then time to tackle the bulk head.

The extractor wouldn't fit as the gearbox x member gets in the way, so I've gone with the original exhaust manifold and have been sorting out the carby for it most the afternoon. Was hoping to start it up today but no go, maybe tomorrow if I get time, I still have to put the radiator back in and then rewire the electric's, most of the original wiring has been hacked into so that's going to be fun sorting that out but that all part of owning a Landy from what I've been reading lol .

    Exhaust pipe to Holden conversion

    Hi Chris

With the exhaust pipe on a Holden into Land Rover conversion, you will have trouble with the engine pipe gasket blowing, because of the way the exhaust pipe swings in the chassis of a Land Rover.
I got around that problem by using a sturdy metal strap between the bend in the engine pipe and the closest one of the bolts on the flywheel housing.
