Think your right there Jeff, it's got twin wiper motors but I can't find a chassis number, did find this number on a plate in the centre of the dash " car no. 277600284" anyone know what this refers to ? the previous owner told me it was a series 2 so that's all I had to go on until I get it home, bonus it's only a 2 minute trip as it's just up the road.

Incisor I think It looks like a Bruce not sure why, maybe in the back of my mind I was think of that monty python skit lol.

Hi Chris, I found my Chassis number on the left hand side engine mount, but mine is a 1951, I thing on the later ones like yours it might be on the rear spring hanger. You might be better off re-posting the photos and questions in the Series 1 section, there lots of people on there that know lots more about Series 1s than me. There is also a thing called CALVIN, where you put the number in and it tells you the vehicle details, but I can't find the link.

Looks like a nice truck though, almost had one of them myself till the bloke I was buying it off changed his mind and decieded to keep it. It's lots of fun doing them up though.

Found the CALVIN LINK put in the number below which was on a plate in the dash centre and this is what it tells me, just not sure if it's correct no. as I can't find a number on the chassis to confirm this

Hi Chris,

I don't think that the plate inside is the original, it's not a 2A. Have a look at the left side rear spring hanger, you may need to rub it back with some sand paper, or rub some chalk on it. My S1 had a different number on the firewall to the chassis.
