Can anyone decifer this ??
Ive had a look at the 3 plates sitting under the instrument cluster and being a noob at these old things im hoping someone can shed a bit of light as to what they mean, first plate is a small blue and silver one saying it was produced by Pressed Metal Corp LTD
Body No-LRL909
Ser No-109/909
Below that is the rover Co Pty Ltd plate with
Car No-123700429
What do all these numbers mean??
Also where do i find the chassis number and engine number?
Thanks in advance all

PMC assembled your landie. That's their batch plate.
The other one is the LR chassis # (for a 1957 vehicle).
That should match the number stamped on the L/h rear spring hanger.
1 Type: Land Rover
23 Model: Land Rover, Series I
Body type: Basic
Wheel base: 109in (Long Wheel Base, LW
Engine: Petrol
Destination: Right-hand drive (RHD), completely knocked down (CKD)
7 Model year: 1957
00429 Serial number
So some of the PMC plate will now make sense to you?!

Chassis number on the left hand rear spring hanger. Stamped on the outside near the shackle.
