Yes , good to catch up and hear the news.
You mentioned the steering box starting to get some freeplay.
I would have someone move the steering wheel for you to check where the movement is. As its come on fairly quickly I suspect it could be the arms that clamp to the relay. You might be able to tighten the clamp bolts a bit more.
Then there is the tie rod ends but they should be OK as I put new ones in.

All of the above, it does need someone else to gently rock the steering wheel from side to side, while you have a look at all the joints and mounting surfaces for any subtle free play and the movement can be very slight.
The mounting plate bolts where the steering box is fastened into the mounting plate should be checked to see if those nuts need a nip up, also there are couple of bolts go through the firewall and the three that through the chassis.

I had a look yesterday and found a grease nipple that was a bit dry and I tightened the box up a bit. Will check all the other things mentioned above tomorrow . I test fitted the tanks today and made up the templates for the brackets . Nice fit see pic below. I will make up the brackets tomorrow and straps hope to get them up to paint stage.
The tanks from the side.
Fitted the main tank inlet today I had to drill 3 holes to fit a modified series 1 outlet pipe (shortens pipe). Also fitted the fuel pump and electrics ready to go. Local sheet metal guy is making my brackets . All the fittings and hoses picked up today as well . I hope to finish this weekend.
