I made it to Brisbane ok steady steady at 80 kph. Had a rest at Gympie and Wild horse mountain. Ran very well no problems at all. Used a little bit of engine oil but no gearbox . Never looked like getting hot.

Can't seem to move the oil filler cap on the tappet cover can I fill her up through the breather tube? How many litres do they hold

The cap on the tappet cover is bolted on Mike, this is the breather. There should be a filler tube on the passenger side of the motor on the pressed steel plate that covers the exhaust rockers, give the old girl a drink through there!
Good luck on your trip, it's good practice for the CSR.
