I wish I had a pop like that. Nice looking Series 1.
Hi all
My Pop bought this one for me if I am a good boy,
seeing as I am only 14 and a half years old. I will have to convince
my mum to drive it for the time being.
We have a couple things to fix on the car, as with a 56 year old car.
It is a 1957,
88inch wheelbase,
2 litre petrol,
it has rear pto and
front capstan winch.
My Pop and I think we got it for a reasonable price judging
by what we have seen lately.
Guess what we paid??
All the best

looks very good I would have to say it would be at least 7k.
This would be a great car for you to do your learners in No need to worry about breaking the speed limit and I could just imagine the face on the instructor assuming it is the same over there as here when going for your Ps
Hi KC
I learnt to drive in a series one, about fifty years ago and I intend to use the original windscreen from that same Land Rover when I restore 'HECter'.
They are a lot of fun to drive and look after. Then you can point to it saying I learnt to drive in that Land Rover, fifty years time from now.
.
Very noice.
Same year and model as one of mine

Great looking car mate, now you have that do I get the 109"?
Hey KC don't let your pop navigate for you... he tends towards trees
(sits back and awaits fireworks)

Hi digger
thanks and you might have to fight mum for the 109
she enjoys driving it.
it wasn't his fault or the driver it was just an accident
To everyone else thank you for the kind posts
Will post more photos tomorrow
All the best
Kc
there is no problem
you only have to come up with the CASH
there are them that can
then there are them that can not
well Nigel were is you?????
he he
cheers mate
Ian
KC,
I realise it was just bad luck and only a light scrape but at the moment
its the best I have to stir Ian up with -!!
Especially after he ignored me on Anzac Day!!! (well thats my new verson of events![]()
)
Ian,
Unfortunately as I said before...I'm a have not but wishes I had
Ian and KC,
Seriously though it is a top looking bus,
I do like the rear cover, Ive wondered how a cover like that would look and with the tyre cover on the front I think it transforms the old girl quite well.
I'd love to see the driver testing officers face if you tested in the Landy... If he complains about anything ask him to drive it..almost a guarentee he'd fluff the changes![]()
Do you have anything (yet) to run off the PTO drum with? May be the next target?I do know you love the landys so its definately going to be in good hands...question now is, if your mum starts driving it...will she give it back?
Enjoy! Looking forward to the further photos.
