Well I have found 4 x Bar Treads for Ol ute (6.00 x 16) and they work out to be $130 each so I am happy . This bloke reckons that they are readily available for that price so, once I find out more, I shall put the details up in this section for info.

What brand are they? That price seems a little bit expensive. Don't you want 7.00x16 tyres for the LWB? What is your speedometer calibrated at?

These things are a deestone brand and have been the cheapest that I have found at the moment (less freight of course). My manual states that the 86 and 107 inch series 1 runs (std) the 6.00 x 16 with the 7.00 x 16 as an option. I am happy enough with them

    Michelle must be thrilled!

It looks like a 1957-58 109 (fully-floating rear axle), unless it has been modified in the last four decades. Rear halfshafts will not fit series 2s or 3s, and are quite hard to find. Front panels are also different to the Olute. Petrol?
I get the feeling this one will also be rebuilt later, too...

    No Dan,

I have given Michelle my word that I shall pull the things off that I need and get rid of the rest. Have a bloke interested in the holder 173 in her (I shall keep the conversion kit) but, outside of that, she's going to be in bits in a few weeks. So - its spares in the shed .... now if it was a SWB - that would be something different.

Good to here from you NT lot.

Went for the drive out to take a look at this series 1 this morning and she will be good enough for some parts only (doors, some glass, PTO bits and wheels etc) - not much else will come off her But.... on the very good side his next door neighbour has 2 SWB series 1's and he just doesn't know that he wants to sell one to me yet. This bloke is going to ask during the next few days and get back to me. Not sure what size they are but "word has it" they are the very short ones

Lets hope I can find myself an 80 worth having

Did see a few other series (2A and 3's) in sheds on the track into his property.
