Land Rover Series 1-3 Transfer Case Overhaul Kit - eBay Manual Transmission, Transmission, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 18-Feb-10 08:26:56 AEDST)
ok a few questions
1. s1-3 are they the same transfers
2.$250 was not expecting that,is it cheaper if you sort out the individual parts
3.who has purchased this kit
i am not going to spend $600 on overhaul kits for gearbox and transfer
to see what it is like and to get in good running condition.but it might be easy for some people that have an income to do these things but since i dont have any income i am trying to save as much money as possible.so im not going to buy gaskets and im going to shop around for bearings and seals and noe that i know that s1-s3 are the same that will make it easier
You started off saying that you were going to do a Restoration
Then you asked where to get gearbox kits from
And some people told you where to get them from.
It's up to you. Going by the photos i can see at least $ 8000.00
or better to get it up to rego. Corn flake boxes make good gaskets too......
i know that i am in for abit moolash but i plan on doing this over a few years and i have to do some(chassis,g-box,t-box,steering,brakes and the engine oh and the diffs) for a school project this year i know i wont get all that done but i need to watch my money for these parts of the resto and the other can probably wait till i get a job.i think i can probably get the chassis done fairly cheap.and i might end up putting s3 diffs on to save money.rego is long long time away and im in no rush for that.
