Just a quick update, picked up my fully rebuilt transmission yesterday, wiring loom should be here next week and the body will hopefully be going to Series rescue the week after. Also had some new glass for the windscreen made and am in the middle of making a list of parts!
Where do you buy replacement brake and clutch master cylinders from? Not too fussed if they are not original!

Land Rover & Range Rover Spares - Paddock Motors - Paddock Spares or there is lrdirect, or craddocks etc.
Had a couple of PM's asking who rebuilt the box and the cost!
It was Paul @ Rovercare in Slacks Creak.
I gave him two boxes and he built one good one out of them
He's a great fella and knows his stuff.
He used it as an in between job to keep the price down and only replaced parts if really needed.
The cost was a tad over $2,500 and I would really recommend him.
He does all mechanical repairs and like I've said before really knows his Land Rovers!
Quick update!
New glass in the windscreen, hand brake assembly restored and fitted, filled the diffs, engine, gearbox and wheel swivels with oil and no leaks so farprop shafts have been cleaned painted and greased and will be refitted Saturday, forgot to line the UJ's up and fit a rubber gaiter on the front one! The original brake and clutch lines are getting dropped off today so they can use them as a template for new lines.
Bulkhead has gone off to be painted, all going quite well we should be in a position to start her very soon
