Last weekend in preparation for RWC I got in and changed the transfer & gear box oil.
After a cool little test drive I arrived home to notice all of that lovely fresh oil pouring out of the back of the transfer.....BUGGER.
So battling a cold/Man Flu from hell I managed to replace the rear transfer case seal.
While I was there I replaced the oily handbrake shoes as well.
This crappy seal just fell out when I pulled the brake drum off.
I don't think it was ever the correct seal.
Unbeknown to me the handbrake expander has roller bearings which promptly fell out when I removed it.
I found one in the oil catch can but no idea where the other one went (if there ever was one)
So I found an old drill bit, gave it a touch up with the grinder & made one
Now all the oil is still inside & the handbrake even works
