    Emancipating the bar

Not quite sure how to get access to the nuts securing the front bumper.
    May have to grind.

Looks that way. I had to destroy the old one in mine to get it off - the bolts were rusted solid in the dumb irons. The bolt heads sheared off and much grinding and drilling ensued....

Use plenty of anti seize on reassembly.

If you cant get to the nuts, grind the heads of the bolts off, then when you put it back together, do what I did and tack weld the nuts inside the dumb irons before you fit the bar, makes it a lot easier to remove later, use plenty of copper grease on the bolts and paint the nuts as well.
    Cheers Ian

If you can see all 4 nuts (2 each side) leave them done up tight as they probably are, then use a very sharp cold chisel to split the nuts vertically, they are only mild steel and should split with a few sharp hits with a hammer n chisel, cheers Dennis
