No, they are much heavier.
Thanks John - well if that is the case, then there is significant wear where the step is, so much so that the worn part just before the step is 1/3 the thickness in some cases, so no chance they can be re-used. Ill check the 109 ones too for wear to see if they too suffer from the same issue.
The rear also are damaged, but the eyelet has been cut into by the bolt no doubt but are the 109 rear the same as the 88 rear springs?

Just done the 4 on my 88.
Used flapper disk to smooth off lip. Then put a chamfer on opposing leaf upper edge, allowing it to slide better.
I also put little nick on the front of each set, so assembled the same direction as they came apart.

Thanks for the info. What I will end up doing is using both 109 and 88 springs and making one good set from them. Depending on what is left I may take a few springs out if the 109 ones are used more. However, I will have a 2.25 diesel (not sure if these weigh more than the petrol) and will also be carrying a bit of load for the trips, so perhaps not a bad thing.
All else fails, ill look at getting some replacement springs. At this stage I do not want to invest on new parra springs, just not in the budget for now.
Cheers,
Carlos

From memory, diesel front springs are heavy duty petrol ones, rear are the same for both engines.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Try CBC for the seals. The part number is TC12043. I just used silastic (sparingly) for gaskets.
Cheers Rod
