gear box time...... source of the bits of metal in sump plug has been foundAttachment 151797
Lay shaft shoulders have been knocked off[bigsad]Attachment 151798 have no idea what caused this but I have a spare shaft

Manual says shaft can be slid out from bell housing end so I'll give it a go

Attacked the layshaft swap today it went surprisingly easily.....hardest bit was getting selectors and shafts out and in....a bit like knitting[tonguewink]
Besides damaged shaft... two spring clips were broken on syncro...and bearing seized up (possibly lock tight from shaft retaining nut)
