gear box time...... source of the bits of metal in sump plug has been foundIMG_1270.jpg

Lay shaft shoulders have been knocked offIMG_1268.jpg have no idea what caused this but I have a spare shaft

IMG_4863.jpg IMG_4864.jpg chip sitting next to shoulder on shaft

Manual says shaft can be slid out from bell housing end so I'll give it a go

Attacked the layshaft swap today it went surprisingly easily.....hardest bit was getting selectors and shafts out and in....a bit like knitting

Besides damaged shaft... two spring clips were broken on syncro...and bearing seized up (possibly lock tight from shaft retaining nut)

IMG_4867.jpg IMG_4874.jpg fortunately every thing I needed came from this box a PO gifted me IMG_4876.jpg
