Thread: Mongrel comes home!

Well I changed the oil and filters, flushed the fuel tank and bled the fuel system .

A few turns of the starter and Mongrel roared to life . For an older vehicle the diesel ran so smooth, I would go as far to say it was quieter than my 300Tdi.

A quick lap around the yard to test the brakes and clutch and then into the shed. Mechanicaly the old girl is a ripper (so far).

Call me stupid, but how do you replace all the wheel studs with the later ones. My Disco nuts screw onto the threads and the wheels fit. Were they built with the same thread?

More pulling apart this arvo, I start back at work tonight on night shift. Just had 4 weeks holidays, it was great! I work 3 nights and then go onto 5 days off, I guess I will spend most of them in the shed.

The letters are in upper case mate .
Looks like you got a lot of cleaning to do in them diffs . By the looks of it some water has gotten into the diff with the color of the oil and grease . happy cleaning buddy
