I have a 109", ex-mil with an aftermarket athol hedges roof - I was thinking when i come to repaint it with a deep blue or red all over except for the window regions which would be white. So in the end you have blue roof, blue a pillars and windscrene then a whole section of white surrounding the windows all the way round the car (except windscrene as stated before) and then the rest of the body is blue/red - haven't decided yet![]()
The interesting thing about the Athol Hedges roofs in the 1960's is that they were what was supplied originally with Annand and Thompson (Brisbane) vehicles. Brian Hjelm may know more about this. For some reason A & T didn't supply the OEM roofs from Rover Co. Ltd. except for the station wagon versions.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Original 6's only came in Limestone in the 2a??? Pretty sure Ive read it elsewhere.Owned 2 original6 traytops, seen a few others, only in Limestone.
Phoenix, that colourchart MUST be wrong.Baby poo yellow would have to be the most common Ser3 colour no mater what power plant used.

I have two S3's that I bought for the hell of it for spare parts; both are baby-poo yellow. I must say I agree with Andrew, apart from the olive drab ones and my mate's ex-PMG red one, I can't recall a S3 in any other colourI think the proper name is Sahara Gold, or something similar.
When I holidayed in the UK recently, just about every Defender I saw was blue; which along with Bronze Green seems to suit the marque very well![]()
I'm looking to repaint the 2A I'm restoring to Bronze Green and Limestone.
I have a need to paint some timber items, and so I therefore need to get some Exterior Enamel tinted to match.
Is there any website that has tint recipes for housepaints equivalent to LR automotive colours?
* I know I could take a bit in and have a match done, but it'd be better if I could just provide a tint recipe. Then I'd get an exact match.

I don't know about bronze green but the code for limestone is 10B17-Hopsack. Standard british colour in the dulux range. I had some mixed up at the local hardware, and other than being in the English code book, was no problem to tint. That was some years ago though so lets hope they still have the technology! Info came from an article in LRo mag Mar. 1992.

My fave colour is Bahama Gold, or at least I think that's the name, but then it only came out in IIIs I think.
Our IIa is an ex-Rural Fire Service so it's that orangey-red colour.
