advantages ...they look cool...easy to take the top off or just roll the sides up...

    disadvantages....extra noise....

the getting wet problem happens wether you have a hardtop or canvas as we have found out travelling with others on our series runs

They are a lot quieter, once you get the flapping under control
kick butt in summer with the sides rolled up and the door windows up,
you feel like the king of the road and look like one too.
    Less weight up top
    chicks dig 'em

lap sash belts = stop too fast and you'll become one with the steering wheel, easy fixed, just don't hit stuff at speed

rain, but its not as bad as you'd assume - in some ways they are actually as dry as the hard top. I,ve driven mine many times in heavy rain with no door windows fitted - you do stay dryish.

theiving bastards - if you're poor like me not a problem - just don;t go fitting gps, in car computers etc

HOT in summer, real hot - dont know why but it always felt hotter than the hard top, and with no door tops you end up looking like a freakin salseman. (brown right arm, pale and pasty left one)

I dont know what sort of protection the hoops provide in a roll over - but it would be next to nothing. But you'll be less likely to tip with soo much less weight up top.
