i would think all you would reely have to do is lift the engine but then again it is attached to the gearbox,i would think that there would probably be an easy way

Yeah just jack up the engine on the front crank pull (gently) & then change out the engine mounts..

So you just undo all mounts and jack?
Its safe to jack under the pulley?

Take the key out of the ignition. Engine in neutral. Put the jack under a solid pulley, not a tin one. Tie the engine to a beam laid across the mudguards if you want extra safety. Above all keep helpful children away while your fingers are in there...

I've always jacked from the sump with a bit of wood as a buffer, never heard of jacking from the pully before.

Whatever works best, it just depends on what jack you have and where it fits.

I use a bit of timber on my big trolley jack & once its where i want it i shake the **** outa the engine to make sure it safe & wont fall that way i can lay under the engine . Sometimes if i have a bit of tubing i will put it on top of the 2 chassis rails & stick the engine on that depends on what i have to do..

This is what I did just a couple of weeks ago, don't jack it up too much, otherwise your bellhousing bolts will imprint on the tunnel cowling fitted to the firewall inside!
