Well got a little bit of work dont to harry today not to much but some anyway...not realy liking having to work outside of a shed as i got so sunburnt its nut funny....

    Bullbar off

Also took off the panel in front of the radiator panel, was also a had a sheet of alloy checker plate..

So if this isnt a military chassis then what is it..

The spring & diff is a little off dont you think..

Has these brackets on the inside of the rad support panel no idea as to what there for.& its the first one i have ever had to actualy have the plate over the relay..Theres a bit of angle iron welded across the chassis as a radiator bottom bracket..

Even the front bump stops are extended ..

Undoing the front panel & gaurds..Then taking them all off..

This is the first landy i have evr owned that didnt need these replaced ,Where the gaurds bolt onto the baulkhead..

Again tell me what the chassis is ...& look its in real good condition to i dont have to weld on a whole new front dumb irons..

Well there ya go not to much done but atleast its a bit anyway...

PS hey Mongrel WINDEX dont work on sunburn LOL...

I do beleive there are several 1ton chassis series 3 around which have the same look alike shackle points as military, I have one here though it is not a military chassis as they are different in other areas like as has been pointed out, rear crossmember

So tell me oh wise sage, why would you prefer to rebuild a completely rooted war torn ex mil chassis as opposed to a not so rooted or good civilian chassis?

what are you talking about..I haven't said to rebuild anything..Banjo has said his chassis is in great condidtion and it is not Ex-mil...me thinks you best reread the posts

    Hi Jason.

Can't help with the chassis, but my old 74 S3 SWB Soft top had the plate over the steering relay.

That chassis looks to be in really good condition too. That's a bonus
    Kev..

Looks like you are rolling up your sleeves and really getting stuck into your project Banj. Pity about the lack of a garage, it would have helped considerably. Anyrate keep going we are all watching with great interest.!!!
