Before fitting the bush and bottom race I did heat the swivel to about 100 celcius and lubed the outer part of the bush and it was still an extremely tight fit. Ill try again tomorrow. w
Before I re-did mine, I put both bearing races in the freezer over night. (I have a bearing in place of the Railko in mine). They press fitted fine. Just used a race insertion tool I got a couple of years ago. And tapped it in with a hammer.. The railko bush should sit flush with the bottom lip. If there is a gap, there is a problem.. I've attached a photo of one that's original. Sorry about the focus on the photo, but you can see how it should look.

Wolf
Thats great Wolf thanks., thats it! see how the bush sits flush and there is no visible side wall of the bush. i have about 3mm visible side wall of the bush at the top and thats not right.
Thanks for the pic Wolf, I had the railko pressed a bit further and it looks right now. Ive assembled it and adjusted the preload, I needed one shim so made one from gasket paper, I used gasket sealer on the paper and that did the trick. Will put the swivel on the vehicle tonight.
Apart from the railko seating hiccup its been a text book repair so far, famous last words. Thanks heaps for the advice. W.
