    Defender or Modified series windscreen?

Hey guys, as I'm taller than the average person, I'm looking at modding my series 3 to have a taller windscreen.
What do you guys would look/be easier, modify the existing windscreen or change to a defender windscreen?
90% of the time it won't have a roof or door tops.
If I went for a defender screen where would I be able to source one in QLD?

The windscreen frames seem to be the first thing to get broken when there is a mishap and I would be interested in a good one myself, getting it would give a new project the kick off.
But I do agree that the Defender windscreen would be easier to look out of, compared with the series three windscreen.

There's nothing wrong with mine except for the fact the top is at eyebrow height making it hard to see out of........ My question is wether to raise the height of the original to the same as a defender one and keep the series look or just throw a defender one on.

I'm 6'3" and know how you feel. This might seem like an unorthodox solution, but have you thought about using a thinner seat base? The deluxe seats in my sIII are a bit lower than the standard seats in the IIa and it seems to make a bit of a difference. But the visibility out of a series screen still isn't great.

Oops! That was in reference about the alloy frame that's used on a Defender. They are not as strong in a roll over and break easily.

If you put a defender windscreen onto a series vehicle wouldn't you have to change the roof section also

Yes, On a Defender the front edge of the roof has a section shaped to accommodate the higher frame.

If the Series three roof could have the front rolled down section replaced with a section made to fit the Defender window frame and back to the roof line of the old type series three top then that would most likely be the most economical way to fit the higher window.
