The last time I tried to get Super Grippers I was told they were NLA.
I ended up getting Goodyear Wrangler TG
WRANGLER TG, Goodyear, Australia

Michelin XZL 750/16's. Got them cheap for this tyre - run out stock - $170 each. There was a group buy of them. Looks like they are no longer available in Australia now - there's a few people tried recently.
The other option I was going to go for before these came up were the Dunlop Super Grippers - which our series had fitted (but shagged) when we purchased it. These are under $200 each new, but can be got for half that as almost new or new second hand from owners of Land Cruisers who have them removed just after purchase for something 'better'.

They still show on Dunlop Australia's website - SUPER GRIPPER, Dunlop, Australia
When I enquired about 3 months ago, I was quoted $205 each fitted and balanced (not including tube) and was told availability was no problems (next day from order - in stock), but not having actually ordered them, I couldn't say for sure.
There's still plenty of good new second hand ones about last time I looked as well.

Bugger. I like the Super Gripper tyres.
Which major tyre companies deal in Dunlop tyres.
Thanks

They are an awesome looking piston!
Tis a shame old "Mr Rover" hadn't standardised engine components between the four and the six so that they were interchangeable.
Only four tyres on that stack Gav, I hoped you grabbed all five and didn't leave one behind, otherwise you will have to come back to pick it up and have another steak while you are here!
Cheers, Mick.

Beaurepairs is the main one I think, but you can order Dunlops off Tyre Sales as well - I seem to get their ads popping up all the time here.
Edit - just checked tyre sales - they don't do the super gripper, just the road gripper. Maybe they aren't available any more...

Well, the work continues and again, I'm left with the job of posting because slack is playing LOL...
Got the front hubs/swivels/etc all stripped down on Sunday, should have all the new shiny bits ready by the weekend and everything cleaned ready for reassembly. Only major wear is the railko bushes - completely shagged - it was running free wheeling hubs, so I'm guessing 4wd was never engaged after those were fitted by the looks of it.
Swivel housings are in very good condition so nothing needed except the pins and bushes, gaskets, wheel bearings, etc.
Thankfully the pin and bush kits aren't expensive and this should mean all going well that the disk brakes get fitted this weekend.. I'll take pics of that.
Wheels are ready for sand blasting - just got to fix my mates sand blaster then I can do them...
New firewall is bolted on - it was the best place to store it, and it allows us to work on almost all of it. Only needs paint prep as there are no repairs required.
