I ordered a set some time back (100GBP at the time). Can't remember the freight costs but there were other parts shipped in the same consignment.

The backs & bases are made of MDF. I still have to pull mine apart to paint the MDF just in case it's not waterproof.

You need to look carefully at UK vs Australian prices. Some aren't too far out and others justify the shipping from the UK.
I always end up adding bits & pieces that will 'come in handy one day....'. Just try & keep the total below $1000 otherwise you'll get hit for GST.

Just remembered, if you order the DeLuxe seats don't forget to include 6off Squab Bf Bolt (331709) otherwise you can't fit them.

I've got a set of the standard style exmoor seats here, used them for a couple years, they are pretty good, nice an comfy and supportive. They have the MDF bases. I got some custom(home made) seat covers made up for them. Well worth the purchase price IMO.

I've got the deluxe seats....but what is this bolt you are talking about Colin? My deluxe seats fitted fine.

But I was a little disappointed at the MDF backing. I just coated mine with marine varnish.

They are a nice seat.

The back on the standard seat has pins either side that locate it in the mountings.
The DeLuxe seatbacks need shouldered bolts to hold them in position.

Hello from Brisbane.

Nice truck - pretty much the same as mine in set up and colour.

Whether to paint or not will draw a few views, but I probably would. As to colours, preference is by definition and practice a fairly personal thing. The Australian Series 3 88" models generally came in one of four colours (five if you include the Game), two greens and two yellows, with the earliest generally in your colour configuration. The UK trucks had different colours including a Marine blue which is lighter than navy.

For my money I would stick to the present green with limestone wheels and roof panel. The paint codes are included at the top of the Series 3 section. It keeps to the original scheme and will match the colour of all the other nooks and crannies which you probably won't feel like painting.

Agreed, to paint it properly takes a fair whack of effort. Some days I walk to the shed and regret starting to paint it.

that's a lovely looking thing. Running, but not over restored.


I love the short wheelbase cab combination.

Thanks heaps for all of you comments and suggestions, greatly appreciated!

In order to make her more "real" and up to her standard of being a "farm vehicle" I have bought from a NZ website a wooden toy rifle which can actually sit on the rifle hooks at the back of the cabin!

Do you think should I go to the police and ask if I can have it in the car? I guess there is the possibility of other drivers reporting me... Or maybe a FAKE sticker on the back window?

Undoubtedly it adds heaps of character!
