    Don't forget (or ignore) the exhaust valve tappet clearances. They are a known weak point on the 2.6 because they are hard to get to.

    Thanks Phil,

    I pulled the manifold off and side cover, but my feeler gauges are too short will have to buy some longer ones to get to the tappets.
