Just wondering your thoughts on Gilberts wheel colour.
I was thinking maybe silver, as that is the colour of the original spare fitted on the bonnet.
Also, can the paint, the yellow colour be bought at somewhere like autobarn, over the counter, or can I give the a code to order to..
Not really sure which yellow/gold it is?
Thanks
Whitehillbilly
Your colour looks to be 'Camino Gold' - code is 12137, but there is another similar colour - 'Bahama Gold' - code is 15371. There is a thread in the sticky section here on the Series 3 forum about the colours - http://www.aulro.com/afvb/series-iii...urs-codes.html
According to a post in that thread, the colours changed in 1978 which may help, you narrow it down.
Rim colour is a personal choice, I think they may have been a creamy colour as standard, but silver or black are common colours too and look good.

I painted mine Bahama Gold.Paint came from local paint retailer Auto pro I think.Had alot of debate about the wheels stuck with silver that's howe it was.
Cheers Will
Thanks Gents,
Will, where are you ????

So Bacicat or Will, do you think I can go to an Auto paint shop ( autobarn ) and quote that number 'Camino Gold' - code is 12137 ????

Yes, you're local supplier should be able to mix the colour based on that info.
