Traced the charcoal filter pipe and It goes nowhere !!!!!
Was it actually fitted to my series 3 as I can really see where its correct mounting point is. Just seems to be bolted to an available hole.
Thought the pipe went to the fuel tank, but no fitting on the Small SWB tank, and it is just sitting in a hole on the chassis ????
Nothing connected to the other to fittings on the unit.
    Any thoughts please.

Land Rover may have consulted VW Engineers before they fitted it!

    Cheers, Mick.

What a scandalous accusation. Who do you think taught VW in the first place?

They could of put a spud up they exhaust, as we MAY have done as kids,
that stopped emission pollution !!!!!! if only for a short while

Read in Manual one of the top pipes are fitted to the air cleaner, but no such inlet tube, on my cleaner unit.
    So guess that wont work.
Your motor have one on your 88 Mick.
    Only on Petrol ????

    Hi,
Anyone any ideas of a series 3 wheel rim, weight.
Galvanisers, west of BrisVagas, quoted $2.15 per Kilo.
I have got hold of two already done.
Thinking about getting another 3 done.
    Thanks

Check to makes sure the galvanisers don't have a minimum weight per lot - it used to be 100kg. Mind you, it used to be $1 per Kg back when I was using my local bloke too...

If the have a minimum weight, get some mates to find some stuff they want done - I never had any issue finding 100Kg of stuff to galvanise.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

    Thanks Bacicat,
spoke to a local steel mob who send stuff every 4 to 6 weeks.
I can send them up with there stuff.
They are only at Tweed Heads.
    Spoke to the company.
Have to get them sand blasted before sending them up, to get rid of any paint etc.
Any idea of the wheel weight.
    Thanks
