I am pretty certain those lenses (and possibly the lights) were never fitted to any new Landrover! They look like 1970s aftermarket generic ones.

    very funky.
You can get the non chrome versions of the indicator and stops new from the usual suspects, crap quality and better than crap quality. The reverse lamps cost an arm and a leg though. They don't appear to sell these new. I wonder if you can get away with just using side lights on he back for the reverse.
    cheers,

Here are a couple of sources for the Lucas L691 lens on the reversing lights.

    G'day Whitehillbilly,

The yellow lens and red lens now mounted on the rear of your Land Rover were originally the rear indicator and the brake light for an FJ Holden. The lenses are still available. Apparently the combination also suits a Austin A40 Devon or a Hillman Minx

The front FJ Holden park light was the same style however with a clear lens - you could use a couple for your reverse light and they would all look the same at the back of your Land Rover.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

re the reversing lights - the lense and consequently the assembly is bigger than the side/indicator lights - I like the look of the larger lense so at some point , unless I want to fork out GBP26.00 x 2 + post I'm going to have a think of re-engineering a side light to take the larger lense - shouldn't be too difficult (I hope).
    cheers,

BryTec do an LED version that is very similar in size, however they are priced in the mid thirty buck range. Like most LED's they will probably come down in price as time passes. They also do stop/tail and indicator/parking versions too.

Thanks. $ 30.00 is better than GBP26.00. Something to think about. I'm not a rivet counter but I find LEDs on old Land Rovers a bit odd looking. A bit like seeing a White series 3. Every one to their own of course.

    Thanks for the lens info,
what original rear leaf springs fit the 88 ????
Like will the LWB ones fit, or only SWB for a SWB. S3/S11A/S2 ones the same ????
Berts are rusted and cracked across the leaf's.

I think the rear ones are different for the 88 to the 109. Do you have the parts manual ? Group E suspension is what you want. I have both and can take a pic - measure if required. I think they are handed too. Passenger -v- Driver.
