Would love to have a sneaky peak anytime and as I'm in WA I'll bring the coffees.
Quite strange to see all the bits you are now putting back on yours, I've just been taking off mine.
cheers

Mad??,,, naa, but it could probably help,,, but nothing better than a good (slow in our case) road trip to have some fun.
I could take the Series II, 101 or Perentie...
88 Perentie FFR - Club Rego
93 Discovery 1 200 Tdi - Club Rego
03 130 Td5 Single Cab
06 Discovery 3 Petrol
22 Defender 90 - Full rego
Had a care package from Dunsfold Land Rover come in todayAside from the replacement NOS steering box, (which will need some attention before fitting), I raided their "specials bin" for some other NOS goodies.
Along with the loom the speedo drive cable was another victim of the rats,
Steering box looks older than me!I've got new seals etc I intended to put in the original box that I'll probably fit to this one as everything looks pretty dried up, including the top bearing grease which is pretty solid.
Cheers,
Got the bonnet frame and tub back from the blasters today:
It seemed a bit frivolous to remove the frame at the time, but many of the solid rivets were loose or broken, and corrosion was just starting on the inside, so I'm glad I did.
The tub looks a lot better in the picture than it actually is, the transom and wheel wells are a bit of a mess. I'm going to drop it off at the painters as it is so he can do any repairs to prep for paint before I put the floor in. (It's much more accessible/easy to work with with out the floor)
They're both primed with a 2 pack epoxy primer, better than anything I could apply (safely).
Cheers,
Schmicko as usual bro.

Hi Tim, Can i ask what media was used to blast the tub ? would you have any pic's before epoxy was applied?
Nav
Hi Nav, sorry that's a no to both questions. I'll ask the blasters next time I see them though about what media they used. I was worried about the panels stretching/warping, but they seemed quite confident about what had to be done. They did, however, refuse to blast the bonnet for fear of damaging it.
Cheers,
Had a few spare minutes today so the cars "nose" went back on
Hopefully tomorrow I can get stuck into the steering box, once that's fitted the brakes and clutch can connected and be bled up.
Cheers,
