Update : I drove back to Brisbane on the weekend, its first proper run since back on the road. It did free up a bit, the good gentleman at British off road said it probably needs a good run due to sitting for so long, turns out they were right, and achieved a top speed of around 100. Happy Days! (Apart from the overheating issue - see separate thread...)
She is a temperamental beast with the clutch now playing up as well, it engages really low, within the bottom 10mm of pedal travel. I have replaced the master and slave cylinders so I know their ok but it does feel like it needs another bleed.
I also replaced the detent springs at the tunnel which seems to have made it harder to get into 1st, 2nd and reverse. 3rd and 4th just slip in. The reverse Spring taken out (heavier one) was on the top, a common pitfall it seems. Detent springs replaced due to jumping out of 2nd on overrun, have had this happen once again since replacing.
Has anyone else experienced this scenario with the clutch? Taking low and hard to engage lower gears - I am hoping it's not major..
Before being parked up for 5 years there was no issues with the gearbox/transmission.
Just checked and it's leaking a little fluid from the slave cylinder bleed nipple connection. Do you think this is the only problem?
Cheers
Chris
