I'll see how I go. Finn has sat there for a year with only spiders really getting to him. If I think its a problem I'll probably buy a few tarps and rig them up, so that it's easily removable when I want.
I do plan to build a proper shed in the future. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Dan your idea could work but I've found once the skin comes off it uncovers all sorts of nasties[bigsad]
I get what you are saying about patina the only rivets that would be noticed are the ones around the door handle apature the others are hidden by capping or hold capping on. Maybe you could dull them up with a cotton bud and some form of acid. Full removal of skin would make repair a lot easier and you could then paint frame properly before reassembly.
Grommit put me onto pouring paint inside the frame to help curb rust.
Door top skins are easy too if you look at your door tops closely you will see the skins come off in sections from memory four, they could be fitted to your new door tops

Does anyone know where to get a seal kit for the steering box?

It has slowly leaked all over the inner fender. Thankfully it has kept the rust at bay in that area [emoji28] but it's probably something I don't want leaking.
I think the only seal is the one on the Pitman shaft. It may be leaking from one of the gaskets, and it may also be spillage from topping up. But remembering that the oil you see has accumulated over fifty years, and that checking the steering box oil level is part of the service, it is probably not a serious concern.
It's a O-ring on the output shaft, these go hard with old age (there's probably a joke there somewhere), and leak. The box has to be taken apart to fit a 20cent O-ring.Quote:
