I'll go and take a photo of my petrol now for you. The wings are removed though and I have the feeling that the coil was mounted to the drivers side inner wing.

Not sure if this one will help, It's off my brother's series 3 SWB. Not the best angle I'm sorry.



My '71 2a has it somewhere else. I'm not sure about the original placing though

I think mine might have been also, but the oil-bath air cleaner is there and it will be a heck of a squeeze. I think I'll go the firewall like your brother's car. Makes sense, since his air cleaner is in the same place.

Also, funny how you don't notice these things until trying to put it all together, I just realised last night I need an air-cleaner to carby intake pipe.

Anybody out there have one they don't need? PM me please!

I ended up leaving my door rubbers as I think they are OK and it would just be extra expense for no great gain except looks. Since it isn't a restoration, I can't justify that.

However, I did try Clark Rubber and they did have suitable profiles for the tail-gate and the front vents, and for the rear side windows (pics above, if you didn't notice earlier). I probably have the Clark Rubber part numbers on my receipts if you would like them. They also have automotive hose for various applications, such as heater and vacuum hose. The heater hose was particularly useful as Supercrap only had two sizes, both of which were too large (5/8" was the smallest).

The bloke at Clark Rubber in Midland is familiar with Landys and supplied a three-sided profile for the tailgate from which you can easily tear one side out to render the remaining two-sided profile suitable (it's like a V when you do this, and is pressed flat by the tail-gate closing on it). The torn-out piece would actually do for the front vents, and I would have used it for that if I had not bought something better before thinking about it.

Rubber is expensive!

Clark Rubber also has universal basic floor mats for $5 each, which is a bargain compared with most floor mats ($50 per pair etc!!!).

All I need now is the bailey channel, which I am pretty confident I can locate through one of the spares places when everything else is done...

Does anybody have any pics of rear "troopy" seats used in Series IIIs (or earlier?) and where would I get some? Are they rare, and if so, does anybody have an idea of how to fabricate them?
