Rough price is $30 a set (2 plates in 12mm) and postage anywhere between $10 (3kg satchel) and $19 (5kg satchel) each plate is roughly 1.5kg

Surely we could make them thinner and then put spacers in for the caliper mount??

I will send to Travis first to make sure they fit and then we can work on the next.

If you make them in 12mm you need to counter sink the bolt holes.

If you do them in 8mm you don't need to counter sink but I will need to supply a 4mm spacer for the caliper mount.

I also need to know the tread type for the caliper holes so I can go get a tap for them

The 12mm woud be better for the engineer wouldn't it , The 8mm wouldn't be as strong would it..
I would rather over engineer than under engineer. I would hate to have the engineer say that the 8mm isn't good enough .that would be my only concern .

Will agree with you about how much better they look to the other ones!

BTW: If you go disk brakes, will you also have to change your sig line to say "Real Land Rovers have leaf springs, but disk brakes are O.K."

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Great work Adam!

    What caliper do they take?

Apparently Cortina twin-pot fronts go well on the rear of a series (much cheaper pads than LR)... However another caliper may be needed...
