The momentum of this project seems to be slowing to a halt.
We have had so many good ideas and now have way too many options we could play with.
I would love to come up with a slick conversion, but I wonder if the market versions are exactly what results from following this line to its end. Slick but expensive.
I am wondering if we were to do the conversion as per the original one from TJWA would we get it passed by an engineer? (I would find a way to not cut the hub ribs off and to have a better drill pattern around the hub studs though)
I think it is a not bad conversion and would be happy to have it on my 109. If I can get 2 or 4 of the laser cut caliper plates I will give it a go and see what the engineer thinks. If all goes well every one else can do the mod and use mine as a reference when it comes to the engineer.
I don't really need disc brakes because I don't drive mine all the time as I ride my motorbike every day rain hail or shine, but I am always interested in design and improvements.
What do you all think?
KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) This is more a reminder to me then inferring any of you are Stupid![]()
My ideas and designs often go from great to insanely wonderful but impossible on anything less then a Bill Gates budget.
