I did that one about 20 years ago. I changed a front RR housing to leaf spring mounts instead of the coils and Mal Storey made up a couple of spacers for the rear salisbury to match the front track. He also made up longer axles for the salisbury to fit the wider track.I then fitted 110 flares to the S3 and it looked and performed very well. It had a 351 Ford C4 conversion in it as well. Surprised a few toyos and ****ans. You should have seen their faces when I overtook them doing about 110k towing a boat as well.
How did you get around the problem of the springs being in the same space as the track rod?
