Just got an email from dealer with invitation for Sept 3 for this "reveal".

I'm still up in the air on this new vehicle. I'm sure it'll be awesome as far as it's capabilities but the styling is more catered to the soccer mum style of vehicle. I'm not sure how it would look as an offroad tourer with bar snorkel and the likes!

There ain't much luggage space in my D4 with all seven seats in use. More than the Disco Sport but you certainly couldn't get a decent amount of luggage for seven people in a D4.


Good for day drives or maybe overnight but when I've had to use the back seats, a lot of stuff ends up in another car, the trailer or on the roof rack.

Also probably no transfer case if it's based of the Freelander chassis.

I reckon it'll have a 9 speed auto with an ultra low 1st gear to negate the need for a transfer case.

Interested to see what it's like. I always thought the Freelander was a little too small and short in the wheelbase to give it enough room inside.

Does an Evoque have a transfer case? I thought the Disco Sport was going to be based on that chassis?
