    Defender doors. Need help

Hey does anyone have a picture of the door slid on a defender the bit on the bottom of the dash where it slides when you open. I need some realy good pics of them so I can workout something for mine. Also are they welded to the bulkhead or bolted.

I'm puting the defender doors on my series 3. The door slides are different. I thought if the defender ones where bolted to the dash then I could use them.

Hi Jason , I've read this a few times , I find your question a bit confusing , What do you mean by door slides ? or bolted to the dash ? Jim

Sorry should of explained better. On the doors there's a rod which has a pin in it on the door. That rod then goes to the bottom of the dash & slides also stops the door opening to far. There basically the same on fender & series but in reverse the slide bit is on the door on a series but on the dash or baulkhead on a fender. But I don't know whether there bolted or welded on the defender. It's under the dash on the baulkhead of the defenders. But I haven't seen one to look at them. Just a quick glamps of them.

Left hand side door check strap and bracket.

This is on a 1997 model defender, slight rust starting on the bulkhead....

The bracket is bolted to the bulkhead.

    Regards,
    Mike.

    The brackets that bolt on the firewall/bulkhead are part numbers;
    MWC5018 & MWC5019.
They are handed, IE; for left and right fitting.

If you you do a google image search under the part numbers provided, the pictures are better than the dodgy ones that I have taken.

    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Mike.

Also door check strap no: ALR2322 and alternate no: BHQ710050 for left hand door.
Also door check strap no: ALR2321 and alternate no: BHQ710040 for the right hand door.
The door torsion springs are part numbers ALR2318 and ALR2319.

Also early 110 doors are a different fitting for the door check strap mechanism than the later 110's with wind up windows.
    The part numbers that I have provided are for post 1984 model 90, 110 & 127 (130).
If you have the very early (1983) 110 doors with the sliding windows, let me know and I'll get you the part numbers for them.
