    Hi Guys,

Want to get some feedback on Long Range Tanks, I wanted to see what options you all have.

My last Deefer had the Rear 1/4 Mulgo 45L tank but apparently they are not available anymore in Australia.

So I have been looking at the Brown Davis 130L Replacement Tank, does anyone have this, photos would be appreciated.

Or there is the Brown Davis Auxiliary 80L sil Tank that goes under drivers side.

I have been told the Auxiliary tank hangs down too low and am swaying towards the Replacement Tank.

Anyways I look forward to any recommendations you might have.

    Cheers, Babs.

Following this as I also want to know.

I believe you can still get a frontrunner aux tank from mulgo or dolium - but I am curious about other options as I have 255/85s fitted and apparently they arent compatible!

I sent Mulgo an email a week or so ago as he still has it listed on his website and still haven't received a response. You can get them from Singapore for a reasonable price.

LRA and Long Ranger also make alternatives including supplementary sill tanks.

My 130 has an LRA sill tank, ostensibly around 70l but it's a bitch to fill.

I've always advocated extra tanks over a single larger one. gives you a reserve incase you get contamination or rupture a tank.

Dads landy has an equivelent of the 130 your asking about bolted up.

I think it might be someone from the forum here, that has a YouTube walk around vid of his Deefer.

I'm pretty sure he has a LRA Replacement Tank and said he had to remove the rear sway bar for it to fit.

Can anyone clarify this. Is this the case with all replacement tanks or is it just a LRA Balls Up.

    Hi Babs,
I have a 130 litre LRA tank and I couldn't fit a rear anti roll bar when I put one on the front.
It's not so much an LRA balls up though as anti roll bars weren't fitted to early models when the tanks were released.

Good tanks though and I get ~1000km from mine on a run. Regularly get ~940 -950 km normal everyday driving. Just fill up when it's cheap.

I have the Long Ranger 120ltr replacement tank on mine, it came with 75mm spacers to allow the sway bar to clear the tank.

I think this is the build your looking for, [ame]https://youtu.be/m7cj13CtkJU[/ame]

    At about 7:15 in.

    Thanks Landy

I don't particularly want to remove my sway bar.

    That's good range your getting.
