    thingy in exhast??

    on my td5 fender,,, im playen around with the exhurst and iv taken all the pipes off but the down pipe from the turbo, it dose sound beter but its not as loud as i was hoping, iv herd a mates fender an he did the same thing, and it was loud as,, mines not,,, on mine its a EU3 so its got a cat looking thing after the turbo, wat is it,, is it a cat and can i just do the good old broom trik and smash it out??

    Mate,

    Take the cat thing and the center muffler off.

    If you're really keen take the lot off and replace the whole system with a 3" exhaust no mufflers or cat thing

    I assume you mean the oxy-cat? They offer minimal flow resistance, and I believe there are big fines if anyone finds out.

    Apparently not as the TD5 will meet emmision requirements without the cat.
