    Question Stub axle seal?

    Afternoon all,

Converting over to oil fed bearings etc. But have come up against an obstacle. How do I remove the seal from the stub axle please? I've made a bit of a mess of it so it has to come out now. Should I have just cut it like I did the axle seal to the diff?

    Thanks,
    Tod.

Unbolt the stub axle and fish them out.

On the front, do not cut out the inner swivel housing seal that allows front diff oil through into the swivel housing. ONLY cut/ damage the stub axle seal behind the CV support bearing.
On the rear, just remove stub axle and hook out the inner axle seal.

    Thanks Justin,

    Yeah it's the front one.

And I think I've already done what you've suggested not to.

The inner swivel housing seal (one closest to the diff) I cut/damaged?

Stub axle seal is the one I've butchered trying to remove.

Have I created a nightmare for myself?

If so do what options have I got?

    Thanks,
    Tod.
