Who's running H.I.D head lights

Actually this is a problem with any very bright lights - the colour does not matter much. Your eyes adjust to the brightness of the lighting, and if high beam is very much brighter than low, you have this effect. I remember it being a problem with my Citroen thirty years ago - for many years Citroens had far better lights than anything else on the road, including self levelling and high beam lights that looked into corners.

35 Watt Bi Zenon 4300K EBAY jobbies and they work a treat on the 94 D1. Just need to sort the blown switch now that occurred without warning.

Would not go back to upgraded wiring with halogen ever again. The only problem with my bi zenon is that low beam is good but the ****e Disco headlight reflectors give a poor high beam pattern.

I alleviated that problem with the Lightforce Driving lights installed. Now I need to convert them to HID so all lights look white and not yellow.

Is there any HID lights that I can fit to my 7" reflectors that when fitted, won't make me into one of these arseholes I'd like to drive into the front of their car:D, because when being followed its absolutely terrible and when faced oncoming they are simply dazzleing?:(

Proper HID lights have a purpose designed reflector. To spread the light beam correctly. Simply fitting HID kits to existing head lights may improve the light out put. It will not turn your headlights into proper HIDs and may have implications if the other car approaching is a police patrol car with bedazzled occupants.

Yep and the police are the l;east of your problems if you have an accident and the other driver says they were dazzled by your headlights, which then prove to be illegal - you are stuffed !

Also why not just get decent semi sealed Halogen lamps and a kit like traxides with a relay - they pump out plenty of light and are 100% legal. And easily replaceable if/when broken. And don't leave you night blind when dipping from high to low beam.

Just an update on my conversion, have adjusted the lights using air bags in the rear springs and it's all good now, not getting flashed anymore:D
