    Weeping diff plug

It is time for me to change the diff oil again.

Any tips as to how I can do that and prevent the plugs from leaking?

Is there a gasket paste I can use?

I've been very careful cleaning the threads before refitting and have even got new plugs, but after a while they start to weep.

How to stop the weeping diff..

    Hey there mate!!

Yeah i found that if you get some thread tape (its the stuff plumbers use), just wrap about 3 or 4 wraps tightly around the diff plug then re fit the diff plug...taaadaa no weeping!!

    Cheers

get the maxidrive brass diff plugs from MR Automotive to replcae the standard ones.

Instead of just plugging the hole they also have a face that mates against the diff and forms a better seal.

Hard to explain without a pic.
There's one at the top of this page:
    mrautomotive - Maxidrive
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
